Mangrove Revegetation Project Partners

Mangrove Project Partners

AMWRRO is proud to be working closely with project partner ElectraNet in this important revegetation program that will see over 500 Grey Mangrove trees planted and cared for by AMWRRO volunteers and North Haven Schools.

ElectraNet was approached by AMWRRO management approximately 18 months ago regarding this project and without hesitation agreed the project would be of great environmental benefit to the area and came on

board within question.

The Australian Government – Caring for Our Country Grants Program is the other important partner for this project. Injecting much needed funds into this project for promotion and

awareness raising, materials, machinery and man power to manage this project over a four year period.

The Caring for Our Country Grants Program is just of many ways the Australian Government is supporting the local community and support important project such as this.

AMWRRO is working closely with these important partners in order to improve the Port River Estuary, and introduce additional habitats and ecosystems for this recognised area of significance.
